Nancy Ruffer specializes in contemporary flute repertoire and has had many pieces written for her and given numerous first performances.  She has performed in festivals and concert halls throughout Britain and abroad.

John Anderson began his career when he joined the Suisse Romande Orchestra at the age of 20.  He currently combines positions as principal oboist of the English Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with concerto and recital work.  He teaches at The Royal College of Music.

Sophia Rahman’s career as a pianist encompasses solo, chamber and coaching activities. She has acted as official accompanist for IMS/Prussia Cove, the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition, the Barbirolli International Oboe Competition and the Samling Foundation, and is a founder member of the acclaimed Plane/Dukes/Rahman Trio.
